Description
Responsible for safely operating sewing machines in their department to join parts of fabricated articles or garments: tacking, one-step pattern stitching, seaming, over locking and hemming on various types of machines while maintaining productivity.
Run sewing machines such as single needle, double needle, serge, bartack and pattern tackers.
Operate powered process equipment such as sonics, hole punch presses, grommet/eyelet presses, turning, marking devices, sealers, or winders.
Load or feed material into machine using guides, folders, fixtures, or visual alignment.
Assembly and/or folding may be required.
**Other supportive tasks to facilitate production line in the Plant**
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED desired
Sewing machine operation experience is strongly desired
Physical Requirements- This position may occasionally require some physical activities and heavy lifting
