The Manager, Research reports into the Executive Director, Global Research and will play a critical role in how Motion Picture Group executives interpret and use data to make decisions in how LIONSGATE’s movies are made, marketed and distributed. This role will work alongside the Motion Picture Group Marketing team and a number of critical thinkers, strategists, researchers, analysts, innovators and engineers across the company who are solving some of the studio’s biggest challenges. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all research planning and delivery, from needs assessments, project briefs, vendor and methodology selections, study and questionnaire design, and execution inclusive of creative ad testing and brand and / or landscape studies.
- Oversee a variety of research techniques, spanning quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods to define, measure and describe potential motion picture audiences for each film.
- Partner with key individuals across the Motion Picture Group to identify key strategic and tactical questions and address with shareable reports and / or presentations.
- Manage on-going and ad hoc reports using quantitative and qualitative data for various groups including Marketing, Production and Development leadership.
- Interpret research findings, translate into insights, merge with any relevant analytical data and turn into a set of clear, actionable recommendations.
- Draft compelling and visually engaging reports and presentations that are easy for non-technical audiences to comprehend.
- Aid with test screening planning and logistics (e.g. data goals, attendees, and distribution of results).
- Manage budget for the Research team.
- Stay abreast of new methods, trends and best practices in research (particularly in the entertainment industry).
