Summary of Position
Lionsgate has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant to support the Company's Corporate Finance and Accounting department.
This role is remote, but will occasionally need to come into our North Hollywood office.
Responsibilities
- Record, verify, and post routine financial transactions, journal entries, and adjustments in the general ledger.
- Process purchase orders, invoices, expense reports, vendor payments, and credit card charges in the general ledger; follow up with internal departments and external vendors on any missing documentation.
- Perform reconciliations for various general ledger accounts including credit card statements.
- Analyze production budgets to prepare, process, and track billbacks to numerous production entities on a monthly or as-needed basis.
- Track, analyze and record back-end royalties in accordance with relevant contracts, agreements, and statements.
- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Coordinate with external auditors by providing requested documentation, analyses, and schedules.
- Work with internal departments and external vendors to resolve billing, payment, or collection issues.
- Participate in special projects, conduct ad hoc reporting, data gathering, and analyses as needed to support the Accounting and Finance team or other departments.
