What are the responsibilities and job description for the Continuous Improvement Manager position at LIPARI FOODS OPERATING COMPANY, LLC?
The Continuous Improvement Manager, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, will be responsible for identifying, leading and executing the Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy for all Manufacturing, Operations and back office functions. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering quantified results while managing a divisional team to deliver on the CI strategy by coaching site teams. This Continuous Improvement Manager will accomplish this by performing business assessment, planning, facilitation, and sustainment through standard work and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create CI benchmarks and measurement tools enabling leaders to evaluate potential areas for formal Continuous Improvement actions and to subsequently determine their operational and financial value
- Recommend Continuous Improvement initiatives based on evaluating operational and financial data and qualitative analysis; supported by proposed budget and cost/benefit forecasts
- Lead approved Continuous Improvement programs by coordinating required resources
- Setting and implementing budgetary and timing controls to achieve chartered goals
- Coach, counsel and train and staff to develop, execute and sustain a proactive Continuous Improvement culture
- Leverage best practices to ensure successful Continuous Improvement campaigns
- Execute formulated or directed plans individually and through teams, notably through coordinating and running successful kaizen events with quantified success
- Identify and overcome barriers to success through resource acquisition and deployment based on needs analysis
- Monitor cost, schedule and performance of all Continuous Improvement initiatives
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma with more than 6 years of working experience in a Continuous Improvement role required
- Bachelor Degree with 4 years of job-related experience or Master's Degree in Business, Manufacturing/Logistics or Engineering preferred
- Five or more years of experience in operations, process improvement or related function including LEAN Manufacturing concepts and practices
- Able to work independently as well as within a team
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Proficient on Microsoft Office Products
- Ability to stand or in stationary position for long periods at a time
- Must be able to work in refrigerated production and warehousing environments
