What are the responsibilities and job description for the Continuous Improvement Manager position at LIPARI FOODS OPERATING COMPANY, LLC?
The Continuous Improvement Manager, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, will be responsible for identifying, leading and executing the Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy for manufacturing, operations and back office functions. The position will be responsible for facilitation of Kaizen events and implementation of lean practices including lean tools such as 5s, Value stream mapping, work cell layout, KATA coaching and many others. The position will be hands on and will work on cross functional teams across multiple sites. This includes educating peers through facilitation of lean activities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Recommend Continuous Improvement initiatives based on evaluating operational and financial data and qualitative analysis; supported by proposed budget and cost/benefit forecasts
· Introduce CI benchmarks and measurement tools enabling leaders to evaluate potential areas for formal Continuous Improvement actions and to subsequently determine their operational and financial valueLead approved Continuous Improvement programs by coordinating required resources
· Provide guidance to site lean implementers on lean projects
· Write lean training and business documents, reports, presentations, and correspondence.

· Coach, counsel and train staff to develop, execute and sustain a proactive Continuous Improvement culture
· Routinely visit facilities to provide support, evaluate plant operations and provide requested assistance
· Monitor cost, schedule and performance of all Continuous Improvement initiatives
Position Requirements:
· High School Diploma with more than 6 years of working experience in a Continuous Improvement role required
o Bachelor Degree with 4 years of job-related experience or Master's Degree in Business, Manufacturing/Logistics or Engineering preferred
· Five or more years of experience in operations, process improvement or related function including LEAN Manufacturing concepts and practices (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma) Black belt certified and Lean certifications
· Able to work independently as well as within a team
· Excellent verbal and written skills
· Excellent leadership and facilitation skills
· Ability to interact effectively with various levels in the organization
· Proficient on Microsoft Office Products
· Ability to stand or in stationary position for long periods at a time
· Must be able to work in refrigerated production and warehousing environments
