What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emerging Brands Portfolio Manager position at Lipman Brothers / R.S. Lipman Company?
Lipman Brothers, LLC Mission: To be the Distributor of choice to three important constituencies: Retailers, Customers and Suppliers, as well as to be the employer of choice.
OBJECTIVE: Develop and manage an Emerging Brands Spirits Portfolio within a defined Off Premise retail accounts base. This position is a critical link between our Spirits Business Unit Directors, Spirit Sales Managers, and Sales Reps. In addition, this position should also serve as a field manager directly communicating with select retail accounts, building relationships and educating emerging brands within spirit categories and disruptive brands to strengthen Lipman’s position in the market. Will always uphold Lipman Brothers’ message, image, mission, and culture.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prioritize, align, and implement metric driven programs and goals to execute against.
- Manage and track the success programs, goals, and incentives.
- Plan, manage, inventory review & oversight, and coordinate new item launches, pre-sells, and allocations.
- Plan and facilitate supplier work-withs, crew drives & In Store tastings.
- Monitor and communicate competitive distributor and brand activity.
- Cultivate consistent communications feedback between Spirits BUD, Spirit Sales Managers & Sales Reps regarding opportunities in our marketplace.
- Share and develop best practice, recognize great performance, identify opportunities, and share best practices team to improve performance on emerging brands outside of the core account universe.
- Spirit Emerging Brand Sales Presentations
- Education of our emerging spirits portfolio
- Education of retail floor sales staff
- Improve in store merchandising & visibility for emerging brand portfolio.
- Develop relationships with key decision makers & stakeholders.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent
- Computer skills: Mastery of Microsoft Office Applications with aptitude to learn applicable Lipman Brothers programs
- Expert knowledge of Lipman Brothers Spirits brand portfolio preferred
- Strong coaching and busines analytics skills
- Must be a self-starter and highly organized
- Must be able to problem solve and trouble shoot.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Ability to communicate to diverse audiences effectively (suppliers, customers, sales team, management)
- Ability to travel as needed
