Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Coordination:
Assist in planning and scheduling transportation for fresh produce, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
Work closely with carriers, drivers, and logistics teams to coordinate routes and ensure efficient use of transportation resources.
Track shipments and update relevant stakeholders on the status of deliveries.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure all transportation activities comply with industry regulations, including food safety and transportation standards.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and compliance documentation.
Handle documentation for cross-border shipments if applicable.
Communication:
Act as a liaison between suppliers, transportation companies, and customers to resolve any issues that arise during transit.
Provide real-time updates to stakeholders on any delays, disruptions, or changes in delivery schedules.
Inventory Management Support:
Assist with inventory tracking and management to ensure that fresh produce is properly accounted for during transit.
Work with warehouse teams to ensure that incoming and outgoing shipments are processed efficiently.
Problem-Solving:
Quickly address and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation, such as delays, damage to goods, or unexpected logistical challenges.
Coordinate with other departments to address any issues that could impact delivery timelines or product quality.
Customer Service:
Handle inquiries and concerns from customers related to the transportation of fresh produce.
Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate information about shipments.
