Primary Function:
As Assistant Marketing Videographer at Lipscomb University, you will play a vital role in shaping the University's video presence across multiple platforms, including the website, social media, and digital marketing campaigns. You will collaborate closely with the Marketing Video Producer and other team members to produce high-quality, compelling content that amplifies the University's brand and helps meet recruitment, retention and engagement goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the University Marketing (UM) team to conceptualize, script, and produce creative video content that aligns with Lipscomb’s messaging and brand guidelines.
- Capture high-quality video for a variety of digital channels, including social media, websites and promotional campaigns.
- Use state-of-the-art production equipment and software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects) to create polished, engaging videos that tell compelling stories.
- Work with the UM team to strategically distribute content across platforms, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement.
- Provide production support, including on-set management, equipment setup and oversight of video editing timelines.
- Manage and organize video assets for easy retrieval and future use.
- Document events on and off-campus with professional videography equipment.
- Process, organize and store video assets.
- Edit videos using industry standard software.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required; Film, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in professional video production, including shooting, editing and post-production.
- Proficiency in operating professional video equipment (cameras, lighting, audio).
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition) and familiarity with industry-standard video editing and post-production tools.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to independently manage projects and seek out creative solutions.
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with different teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with modern social media platforms and best practices for video content creation and distribution.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for storytelling, creative problem-solving and staying current with industry trends.
Job Related Skills:
