What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Set-Up & Strike Student Worker position at Lipscomb University?
This student worker position will work with Event Management to set-up and strike events that occur on-campus, specifically for The Gathering on Tuesday's for setup from 6 AM-8:30 AM as well as from 11:55 AM-1:15 PM for tear down. Must be available for both shifts! This is a manual labor job, with opportunities to work various other events on-campus as they arise.
-Work with the Event SetUp & Strike Coordinators to prepare Allen Arena for The Gathering by physically setting the needed furniture based on client’s needs.
-Work with the Event SetUp & Strike Coordinators to prepare various other event venues on-campus as other needs arise, if available/interested.
-Communicate effectively with Event Set-Up & Strike Coordinators regarding schedule and availability.
-Interpret set-up diagrams and Banquet Event Orders (BEO) with event set-up information.
-Ability to push, pull and lift moderate to heavy weight throughout each shift.
-Ability to stand and be on your feet for long periods of time.
-Arrive promptly to assigned shifts.
-Maintain a positive manner with team members, guests, and clients.
