Position Overview:
The Instrumentation & Systems Technician will be responsible for assembling, testing, installing, and servicing fluid management equipment used in process control and measurement applications. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to learning, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, test, stage, install, and commission fluid management equipment.
- Provide prompt and accurate technical support to customers.
- Perform field service and maintenance on equipment across the U.S. and Canada.
- Troubleshoot, evaluate, and develop maintenance and repair plans for instrumentation and control systems.
- Accurately document issues, solutions, and service activities.
- Interface with clients professionally to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Associate degree in mechanical/instrumentation or a related field (preferred). Equivalent work experience in servicing industrial controls, pumping systems, PLCs, flow meters, control valves, level sensors, or electronic instrumentation will also be considered.
- Experience:
- 1 years of experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC) (preferred).
- 1 years of mechanical or industrial instrumentation experience (preferred).
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage documentation and administrative tasks effectively.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 35%).
- LAS provides comprehensive on-the-job training.
