Role Overview :

The Senior Manager, Demand Planning will lead the start-up and development of a new Demand Planning team with two Analyst direct reports. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional leadership experience with proven performance in a fast-paced start-up business environment, strong analytical capabilities, expertise in driven-based forecasting and application in supply chain and integrated business planning, background in model optimization and use of technology, and executive gravitas.

This role requires business transformation experience specific to demand planning preferably in the beverages category.

The scope of this role encompasses :

  • Leading the development of our sales and depletions forecasts for our monthly Demand Review within our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process leveraging updates to drivers, assessing depletions and retail sales trends
  • Analyzing sales vs forecasts to provide insights required by our weekly Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) process
  • Collaborating on our long-strategic planning to assess trends and key drivers for sales growth

Key Responsibilities :

  • Demand Planning & Analytics : Leading a collaborative and transparent approach to secure cross-functional alignment with Commercial Sales, Marketing, Strategy and Finance on updated sales and depletion forecasts (volume and value) that is driver-based and leverage commercial analytics to gain consensus. Analysis of multiple data stream (shipments, depletions, retail scan) and drivers to lead the development of updated sales and depletions forecasts for the monthly S&OP process. Develop forecasts for Innovation and Renovation projects as input to the Stage-Gate Product Review process. Analysis of short-term and pending orders vs weekly sales forecasts in the S&OE process to advise on actions with Commercial Sales and Supply Planning.
  • Leadership of Demand Review : Develop monthly Demand Review to gain consensus sales and depletions forecasts with Commercial Sales, Marketing and Finance for the S&OP process horizon (12-18 months) with updated drivers. Gain alignment on actions to realize opportunities and mitigate risks. Provide updated forecast at SKU-level to Supply Planning and support the monthly Supply Review. Prepare Demand Review update for the monthly S&OP Executive Review.
  • Strategic Integrated Business Planning : Support development of 3-year strategic planning to ensure alignment on key assumptions (e.g., category growth assumptions, market share targets) in congruence with demand planning in the S&OP horizon.
  • Leveraging KPIs for Improved Performance : Accountable to achieve forecast accuracy and bias KPI targets and leveraging KPIs to improve forecast performance. Collaborate with Supply Planning and Finance on Inventory Policy based on anticipated forecast performance. Leverage KPIs to provide insights on drivers, improving analytics and optimizing forecast models.
  • Digital Technology : Partner with IT to implement demand planning ERP capabilities. Lead optimization of forecast models and driver-based analytics. Leverage advances in digital technology (e.g., Control Tower, AI).
  • Benchmarking & Best Practices : Leverage professional network to continuously improve demand planning capabilities, set KPI targets and advance new approaches (e.g., partnerships with Distributors and Retail Accounts).
  • Talent Development & People Leadership : Lead start-up of new Demand Planning team. Set goals for direct reports. Lead talent assessment and career development planning. Foster strong engagement by proactively embracing our leadership behaviors.
  • Qualification Requirements :

  • A Bachelor's degree in Management Sciences, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • A minimum 7 years of experience in relatable role overseeing demand planning, forecasting, and integrated business planning transformation (start up experience preferred)
  • Previous leadership experience (this role will have 2 direct reports : Analysts)
  • Previous digital technology implementation experience required to include demand planning software and ERP systems expertise (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA, or similar)
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and advanced Excel skills
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
  • Previous people leadership responsibilities required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated presentation skills at the Executive level
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed
  • The typical salary range for this position is : $130,000 - $150,000

    The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes equity and benefits.
