Liquid Environmental Solutions, a leading provider in the liquid non-hazardous waste industry, is seeking a dedicated Wastewater Plant Operator for our wastewater treatment plant in Jacksonville. The ideal candidate will be committed to safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility while performing essential duties in wastewater treatment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming wastewater and oversee the treatment process.
• Conduct cleanup activities as needed to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
• Monitor tank levels to ensure adequate space for material processing.
• Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations, utilizing appropriate safety equipment.
• Operate and maintain shop equipment, including heavy machinery such as forklift trucks and skid steers.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and may assist with minor electrical maintenance tasks.
• Clean and maintain process equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Ability Requirements:

• Ability to learn and follow procedures related to safe material handling.
• Commitment to personal and professional growth within the company.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Good eye-hand coordination and organizational ability.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Willingness to be cross-trained for various job responsibilities.
• Effective communication skills for safety and operational efficiency.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience as a Plant Operator with maintenance of water pumps and plant machinery preferred.
• Laboratory experience is strongly preferred.
• Must be willing to work in environments with strong odors, hot/cold, and wet conditions.

Work Environment:

• Physically demanding tasks include lifting, climbing, and bending.
• Ability to work on feet for most of the workday.
• Exposure to varied weather conditions and strong odors.

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

• Do you have reliable transportation to and from work, ensuring consistent attendance and punctuality?
