The Sr QA Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting key QA processes such as Hold & Release, Change Management, Traceability, Risk Assessments & Deviations. This position will ensure the review and maintenance of finished goods and raw material documentation to meet company and regulatory requirements. The Sr QA Compliance Specialist will also be involved in the new product innovation process by working with internal & external stakeholders to qualify new ingredients for launch of domestic and international product launches. The Sr QA Compliance Specialist will work closely with contract manufacturers, suppliers, 3 rd party logistic partners, warehouses, and 3 rd party laboratories to complete department initiatives.

The compensation band for this position is $86,100 - $129,100 annually. The exact salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal company equity, and budget.

- Ensure QA compliance of all distributed products throughout the supply chain, including but not limited to, raw material suppliers, contract manufacturers, 3 rd party logistic partners, and warehouses.
- Review Certificates of Analysis and/ Certificates of Conformance from suppliers and laboratories to ensure products meet specifications and testing is completed per Product Testing requirements and frequency.
- Work closely with approved 3 rd party laboratories on testing requests, protocols, and methods for raw materials and finished goods.
- Lead annual verification testing program.
- Lead / support stability studies program for in-market products in partnership with R&D.
- Lead raw material quality qualification by working with raw material suppliers to gather documentation, review applicable documentation, and work with RA and R&D teams to complete qualification of raw materials for new or existing products.
- Support the implementation of Hold & Release, Change Management, Risk Assessments, Deviations, and Traceability programs.
- Compile data for monthly quality metric reporting and trending as well as data for quarterly supplier reviews.
- Other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of a BS Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or related field
- 5 years of relevant FSQA experience in the food/supplement industry
- Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, SQF, and FSMA required
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working as part of virtual teams across geographical, cultural, and international time zones preferred
