What are the responsibilities and job description for the Petroleum/Propane Truck Builder position at Liquid Measurements and Controls?
Liquid Measurements and Controls Inc is currently looking for a heavy truck upfitter with mechanical, automotive electrical and pneumatic experience to join our Petroleum / Propane truck upfit/install team in Pottstown, PA. As an installer/upfitter you will work independently as part of a team building custom petroleum and propane distribution trucks based on the customers specifications. Military Veterans are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Install truck equipment including but not limited to; tanks, pneumatic valves, PTO's and pumps, meters and registers, electronics, cabinets, lights and other customer specified equipment.
- Use hand tools to complete equipment installation.
- Install equipment according to job scope and mechanical drawings
- Use tools and equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Work with the management and sales team to meet job deadlines.
- Understand LM&C products.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to follow written directions and blueprints.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools to complete installation procedures.
- 12-volt automotive wiring.
- Pneumatic and hydraulic installation.
- MIG & TIG welding experience.
- Detail and Goal oriented.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Assembly experience.
- Class B Hazmat or ability to obtain one.
- Install/Upfit experience (preferred).
- MUST HAVE MECHANICAL TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE.
