Position Overview: The Retail Associate/Cashier and Stocker is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, operating the cash register, and ensuring shelves are well-stocked and organized. This role requires a friendly attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and assist with their inquiries.
- Provide product information and recommendations.
- Handle customer complaints and returns professionally.
- Cashiering:
- Operate the cash register, handle cash, credit/debit transactions, and provide accurate change.
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Process transactions quickly and efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
- Stocking and Merchandising:
- Unload and unpack merchandise from deliveries.
- Stock shelves and display areas with products in an organized and visually appealing manner.
- Ensure products are accurately priced and labeled.
- Rotate stock to ensure freshness and manage inventory levels.
- Pricing and Discounting:
- Accurately price items and apply appropriate discount codes.
- Update pricing labels and signage as needed.
- Ensure discounted items are properly marked and displayed.
- Clothing Management:
- Sort, clean, and organize clothing items.
- Ensure clothing racks and shelves are tidy and well-presented.
- Assist customers with clothing selections and fitting room needs.
- Store Maintenance:
- Keep the store clean and organized, including aisles, shelves, and displays.
- Assist in setting up and dismantling promotional displays.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
- Must be bi-lingual!
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail or cashier experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
