Job description :
We’re looking for an exceptional Lead Engineer to spearhead the technical implementation of our product-led growth strategy. In this role, you will work on a variety of tasks to :
Collaborate with with product management and other stakeholders to evaluate options and make recommendations for translating business objectives into tangible front-end and back-end solutions and to deliver a seamless and compelling user experience that drives wide adoption
Design and build innovative features, ensure platform reliability and scalability, and integrate advanced AI capabilities
Implement front-end and supporting components delivering a seamless user experience, including various common and proprietary SaaS features, analytics, and gating
Continuously optimize priorities, considering time, budget, uncertainty and expected value
Deliver automation capabilities related to continuous improvement, delivery and KPI tracking
The ideal candidate :
Thrives on tackling complex challenges
Is capable of improving and refactoring on any code base in any programming language
Consistently delivers faster and better results than most other engineers
Has exceptional communication skills and can constructively formulate reasoned opinions while considering and resolving different viewpoints
Can use frameworks, but can also build anything from scratch without any framework
Is not hesitant to "disrupt" their own prior work if warranted when circumstances change
Has a bias to action over debate and to simplicity over complexity
Brings an owner mentality to all of your work
Simplifies complex problems into clear, simple and actionable steps
Qualifications :
Passion for building better solutions to data engineering challenges
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Publicly available work samples : one or more of A) code samples, written personally by you, in C, C , Rust, Typescript, Javascript, and / or Python, B) other opensource projects, C) blog posts or other
Proficiency developing in
nix environment and related toolchains
Understanding of performance trade-offs and handling of IO, memory etc
Desire to working in a fast-paced, constantly-changing environment
2 years experience building and delivering modern web applications, including compiling to and implementing solutions in web assembly, with a demonstrable impact on user engagement and product success
Ability to build from scratch, as well as to quickly improve / refactor / build upon existing large code bases
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
