LiquidPiston, Inc. is a pioneering company in the field of rotary internal combustion engines. We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Machine Learning to join our team and play a key role in driving innovation through data science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive roadmap for applications of machine learning to engine design, including architecting high-performance computing environments, developing data capture protocols, and identifying ML use cases.
- Create and modify machine learning models related to engines, generators, hybrid power systems, UAVs, and other areas of focus.
- Analyze and validate modeling results with experimental data, providing actionable insights to inform product development.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team, including the CEO and CTO, to ensure seamless integration of data-driven solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including experience with Python, R, and Matlab, as well as expertise in numerical methods, statistical analysis, and optimization techniques. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field is required. Additionally, 3 years of professional experience in scientific computing/data science is essential.
