Cashier/Sales Associate

• Accurately scan and ring up customer purchases at the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Verify customer identification to ensure legal purchasing age for alcohol.
• Collect payment, provide change, and process credit card transactions.
• Bag items and assist customers with questions about products.
• Follow cash handling procedures and perform daily cash reconciliation.
• Stocking duties:
• Receive deliveries of liquor, beer, and other merchandise, checking for accuracy against invoices.
• Stock shelves by rotating inventory to ensure freshness and proper product placement.
• Build displays and create eye-catching presentations for featured products.
• Monitor stock levels and inform management when items are running low.
• Conduct inventory checks and report discrepancies.
• General store operations:
• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, coolers, and storage areas.
• Assist with price changes and signage updates.
• Adhere to all liquor store regulations and policies regarding sales and customer service.

Required skills:

• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling
• Ability to lift and carry heavy cases of liquor
• Attention to detail for proper stock rotation and inventory management
• Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to interact with customers professionally and politely
• Knowledge of local liquor laws and age verification procedures

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
