The Role: Occupational Therapist (Full-Time)
We’re hiring a dedicated and compassionate OT to support students (ages birth–21) in West Point, VA. If you're passionate about helping children grow, gain independence, and thrive—you’ll feel right at home here.
What You’ll Be Doing
1) Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students' therapy needs
- Assess motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and daily living abilities
2) Tailored Therapy Plans
- Design individualized interventions based on each student's IEP goals
- Track and adjust therapy plans based on progress
3) Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with educators, staff, and families to support student growth
- Share tools and strategies that can be used at home and in the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on student planning
- Join professional groups and ask clinical questions anonymously through our platform when you need insights or peer feedback
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and timely therapy logs and documentation
- Ensure all services follow state, federal, and district guidelines
What You’ll Need
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current Virginia OT license (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of IEPs and IDEA compliance
