Job Title: Executive Director (full-time, exempt)

Department: Administration

Reports To: Board of Directors

Goal: Lirio Resources, Inc. is hiring a full-time Executive Director to oversee all day-to-day operations, management and long-term development of the organization to ensure quality services consonant with our stated mission. You will implement all personnel, service, process improvement and administrative policies set by the Board of Directors. You will represent the organization to the community, governmental bodies, and accrediting and licensing authorities. The responsibilities of the Executive Director are broad in scope and require extensive knowledge of changing laws, regulations, expectations of the individuals we serve, policies and technology. An excellent candidate for Executive Director will have a proven ability to lead and motivate, have great communication skills and demonstrate an unwavering desire to advocate for the individuals we serve.

Purpose of Organization: The primary purpose of Lirio Resources, Inc. is to plan and provide programs and services designed to better the health, education and general welfare of individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities. As a nonprofit, Lirio coordinates and integrates existing programs and services to meet the needs of the individuals we serve. We encourage, stimulate and provide education about issues and solutions that impact all individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities and their loved ones.

Location: Lirio Resources has offices in Monticello, Rensselaer and Crown Point, IN. We currently provide services in multiple counties within Northwest Indiana. Geographically, we are located in both Central and Eastern time zones.

Responsibilities: The Executive Director's duties are to be in accordance with the organization's bylaws and policies adopted by the Board of Directors. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Plan, organize, direct and control all agency services and administrative functions per the organization's mission and vision
  • Serve as the key visionary thinker and strategic planner for the organization
  • Assist the Board in development and review of policies and policy governance
  • Supervise a core of staff and ensure that the organizational structure is optimal for services rendered and administrative functions
  • Implement Board policies through direct actions
  • Ensure compliance with all appropriate local, state, and federal agencies with regulatory jurisdiction over the organization
  • Ensure the availability, maintenance, safety and protection of all organizational resources
  • Build an effective team of leaders by providing guidance and coaching to subordinate managers to promote transparency and collaboration throughout the organization
  • Ensure compliance and efficiency with third party billing and grant reporting
  • Act as the authority to discipline, promote, and align personnel according to Personnel policies set by the Board
  • Serve as the chief fundraiser, responsible for diversifying and increasing revenue sources
  • Provide for strong fiscal controls and management of the organization under the policy direction of the Board, including budget development, audit requirements and ensuring adequate insurance coverage
  • Serve as the liaison between agency staff and the Board of Directors
  • Ensure training and staff development to enhance organizational effectiveness and adherence to the mission
  • Attend regular and special meetings of the Board of Directors and other Board Committees, providing necessary organizational updates to the Board at and between meetings as appropriate
  • Promote the organization and its mission to individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities, their families/guardians, the community, elected officials and other stakeholders
  • Ensure that the health and safety of the individuals we serve, visitors and staff are of paramount importance in all decisions made by and on behalf of the organization

Requirements:

  • Ability to pass background check and relevant medical screenings per employee handbook
  • Proven experience in a managerial position relevant to the provision of person-centered services
  • Ability to work some evening and weekend hours as required
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategies and plans
  • Ability to apply successful fundraising and networking techniques
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
  • Outstanding organization, leadership abilities and personal integrity
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and public speaking skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Master’s degree preferred, bachelor's degree will be considered with relevant experience

Salary:

  • Commensurate with experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
