SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of quality-based services in collaboration with multiple departments, reporting directly to the Executive Director. This employee must possess a high degree of knowledge and have experience related to the successful management of quality assurance programs that comply with ICF/IDD, CMS, BDDS, BQIS, DDRS, HCBS, all federal and state regulations as well as accrediting body standards. Direction and management of quality service programs occurs through the direct supervision of employees, ensuring appropriate supports for those served, and regularly occurring communication with internal and external parties including all funding and licensure sources. All direction and management is to be conducted within contract, state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. ISO9001 Quality Coordinator and facilitation of ISO9001 quarterly meetings (or other accrediting body as applicable). Serve as the primary contact for ISO9001 communication.
2. Conduct routine quality audits of all programs and provide recommendations for improvement. Direct employees’ actions in correcting identified areas of deficiency.
3. Plans, develops, operates, and evaluates facility-wide programs related to quality assurance and risk management. Taking a person-first approach to program compliance and development.
4. Develops and implements a plan to transition accreditation
5. Maintains communication with regulatory and accrediting agencies regarding changes in standards, strategic approaches, and program compliance.
6. Provides information to the Director of Operations and Executive Team on monitoring programs, level of compliance with relevant standards, and effectiveness of quality enhancement programs.
7. Organizes and/or conducts training to employees that enhance program compliance and development, with a focus on individuals served and their desires.
8. Analyzes risks and develops remediation plans and proactive approaches.
9. Chairs quality assurance committee; participates in, chairs, and/or directs committees related to quality assurance or risk management (e.g., infection control, human rights, safety, medical records).
10. Directs and/or completed thorough investigations on incidents, analyzes results, and recommends remediation plans. Ensures all remediation plans are completed on time by the identified department, team, or individual.
11. Provides consultation in the development of administration policies and procedures.
12. Participate in all program related audits initiated by external parties and works collaboratively with appropriate parties to develop and implement comprehensive plans of correction in the appropriate timeframe(s).
13. Provide opportunities for staff development of all subordinate employees to enhance the quality of services and employee skills.
14. Coordinates data collection efforts to keep department staff, administration, Executive Director, and the Board of Directors informed of outcomes, consumer/community trends, and operational adjustments necessary to maintain effective and efficient services.
15. Other duties as assigned
