Geolocation Operator (Passive and Active)
Location: Fort Gordon, GA and San Antonio, TX
DESCRIPTION: The Apprentice - Senior Operator - Active or Passive shall perform 24/7 operational support to the government by tasks required to search, detect, identify, intercept, and locate signals of interest using the most appropriate sensor and active geolocation technique available.
Qualifications:
(2) - (5) years of operational experience, within the last five (7) years with NSA, a Service Cryptologic Element, or another government intelligence agency (as a government employee or as a contractor) in the following:
MINIMALLY ACCEPTABLE: Experience conducting RF collection and/or Direction Finding operations.
HIGHLY DESIRED: Certification in active or passive geolocation techniques via training programs conducted by NSA, a service component, or another US Government Agency to include the technologies below is highly desired:
- Global System Mobile (GSM)
- Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA)
- CDMA 2000 Evolution - Data Only (EVDO)
- Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers standard 802.11 Wireless Fidelity (WiFi)
- Universal Mobile Telecommunications Systems (UMTS)
The following certifications are highly desired:
- NSAG Geolocation Qualification Course or:
- SCE Collection Operator Certification
- USAF Tactical Support Operator (TSO) Certification
TECHNOLOGIES
- Real-time RF COMINT collection (Airborne, Space borne, Terrestrial, NTM) o Manual, automatic, and/or synthetic Time/Frequency Difference of Arrival (T/FDOA) geolocation operations of COMINT emitters
- Multi-aperture Direction Finding
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
