What are the responsibilities and job description for the District Data Systems Coordinator position at LISA Academy?
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution, required.
- Minimum of 3 years administrative or professional experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of database management, educational technology and local, state and federal reporting mandates and timelines is required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides in depth knowledge and expertise in all aspects of the District's Student Information System (SIS) application and database
- Manages and supports the day-to-day operation of the SIS application and database, and Triand. Acts as SSO administrator for the district.
- Establishes and enforces data entry standards
- Aligns student data collection with Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) standards and requirements
- Identifies, analyzes and resolves problems with SIS; interacts effectively with users to solve problems and advises on best practices for using the software system
- Provides required information and reports to agencies and organizations, including cycle reporting to ADE.
- Interprets state and federal mandates regarding data and advises district leadership
- Communicates data requirements to appropriate department/school personnel
- Translates data for import/export between SIS and secondary data systems
- Documents the online credits earned by students into eSchool.
- Designs and lays out reports to meet the needs of users, agencies and organizations
- Monitors database for data accuracy and integrity
- Instructs and assists school personnel in student attendance record keeping and reporting
- Organizes, compiles, and summarizes student attendance, enrollment and achievement data and prepares required reports
- Works with school and district leaders to organize and present student data to inform decisions related to curriculum, instruction and assessment
- Maintains knowledge of current state and governmental agency reporting requirements
- Provides user training and may travel to school sites in support of related duties
- Compiles and submit reports regarding Civil Rights data to local, state and federal agencies.
- Assists in student recruitment activities, as assigned.
- Assists in transportation program, as assigned.
- May represent the District to state and local governmental agencies relative to eSchool and best practices
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive employee and student information
- Fills in as district front office substitute, as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
