Job Summary
We are seeking an outgoing and motivated Account and Loan Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting members with the new account and loan origination process, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with industry regulations. You will leverage your knowledge of financial services to provide exceptional service and support to our clients, guiding them through each step of their financial journey.
Responsibilities
- Assist members in the loan origination process, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and processed efficiently.
- Assist members in the new account process, opening savings, checking, certificate and IRA accounts.
- Review applications for completeness and compliance with regulations and other applicable laws.
- Conduct thorough analysis of member financial information to help them meet their financial goals.
- Collaborate with team members to facilitate smooth flow of work.
- Participate in business development events for the Credit Union.
- Maintain organized records of all transactions and communications with members.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in financial services.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in account or loan origination or processing is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in financial software applications relevant to the lending industry.
- Excellent mathematical skills, including basic math for calculations related to loans.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with members and team members.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to providing exceptional member service.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.50 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
