Job description


LISEGA, Inc., located in beautiful East Tennessee (about 20 miles east of Knoxville, Tennessee, USA), is a leading provider of support, guiding, and suspension systems for pipes and equipment in various industries, including power generation, oil and gas, and chemical processing. With a commitment to innovation and quality, we strive to deliver the best solutions to our clients. We are currently seeking a Product Development Engineer (Mechanical Engineer) to add to our growing engineering staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work on diverse projects that contribute to our product offerings.


This is an in-office job (not remote or hybrid) with the following responsibilities and needed skill set:


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems using various software, standards, and codes.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability.
  • Utilize a thorough understanding of pipe support components, and their functionality on analysis work.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, design reports, and design report summaries.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements to enhance product development.
  • Utilize knowledge to provide technical assistance in determining the best suitable and least cost application of pipe supports while meeting applicable codes and customer requirements.


Skills/Qualifications desired or required to successfully be considered when applying:


  • An Undergraduate degree in an Engineering discipline, from an ABET accredited university is required.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design and analysis (2 years preferred).
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Creo, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Working knowledge of industry codes and standards including, but not limited to, ASME B31.1, B31.3 and ASME Sect III.
  • Currently possess or ability to obtain E.I.T. (Engineer in Training), within one year of employment.
  • P.E. (Professional Engineering) license highly preferred.
  • Ability to, occasionally, lift up to 40 pounds.
