Position Overview
The Copywriter Team Lead position oversees a team of Copywriters that are responsible for writing clear, engaging and persuasive content that builds brand identity. This individual has a proven track record of success in meeting deadlines and managing time, and has the ability to oversee a team of Copywriters by providing training, guidance, and performance management. Additionally, this candidate should have strong creative thinking skills, and be fluent in both English and Spanish.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
· Supervise and mentor a team of Copywriters by providing guidance, support, performance management, and payroll to ensure high levels of productivity and morale
· Oversee and support team member’s training and development
· Facilitate team meetings and 1:1’s to review questions and any process updates
· Ensure that all content produced by the team is consistent with the brand’s voice, tone, and messaging guidelines
· Oversee the development and review of all written content to ensure it is clear, persuasive, error free, and aligned with the firm’s brand and objectives
· Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to ensure all written content is optimized for various platforms and reaches the target audience
· Analyze and track the performance of written content across channels, using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights
· Provide regular reports on content performance, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for optimization
· Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor content, and audience preferences
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
· Possesses excellent bilingual (English and Spanish) interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
· Familiarity and ability to utilize different
writing styles, from formal and technical to
conversational and creative
· High proficiency with Microsoft Suite
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
· Strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, with a focus on delivering high-quality content
Minimum Qualifications
· Bilingual (Spanish English) B2-C1
· 2 years’ experience in ad copywriting
· Highschool Diploma or equivalent experience
· Previous leadership experience preferred
