What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Cart Attendant position at Lisle Park District?
JOB SUMMARY: The Golf Cart Attendant serves as an ambassador for the Lisle Park District’s River Bend Golf Club. This individual provides excellent customer service in the cart staging area while greeting each customer before their round of golf. The Golf Cart Attendant cleans and displays each golf cart, so they are in exceptional condition. This person keeps the cart staging area in a neat and orderly manner. The Golf Cart Attendant performs opening, midday, and/or closing responsibilities. This individual also assists with the organization of various golf outings.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Monitor and record group starting time and monitor safety of golf patrons. Maintain practice facilities, including short-game practice area as needed.
- Maintain golf carts, including keeping carts available for patrons, inspecting and cleaning carts after use, and parking in facility on a daily basis.
- Maintain cleanliness of clubhouse, parking lot, and golf course.
- Demonstrate and support park district customer service standards.
- Follow district and departmental safety, personnel, and administrative policies, procedures and ordinances.
- Assist other outside staff with special duties assigned by the professional staff or manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Valid driver’s license required
- Basic knowledge of golf and prior customer service experience preferred
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills (i.e., professional ability to promptly and enthusiastically attend to customer needs).
- Friendly, responsible and outgoing personality
- Ability to work independently in day-to-day operations with general direction from supervisor.
- Ability to address complaints and resolve concerns in a professional manner
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Ability to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing ≤ 30 lbs. on a daily. Lifting assistance is required when lifting > 30 lbs.
SCHEDULING: This is a seasonal position starting April 1, 2025 and ending in November (weather dependent). You can expect to work about 10-25 hours per week. Scheduling will includes various shifts Monday through Sunday.
