The Manufacturing Test Engineer will be working with the product development team to bring to market new, state-of-the-art communications products. You will help us build the next generation of wireless audio experiences and support Listen’s growing product lines. You will play an integral part in the deployment, manufacturing, service, and improvement of Listen Technologies products. A key function of the job is the development and deployment of automated test fixtures to be installed at our partner facilities. The successful candidate will possess at least an associate degree in Electrical, Industrial, Process or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Design, manufacturing, fabrication, and troubleshooting of test and measurement equipment such as the Bed-of-Nails testing devices. This may include several electronics, electro-mechanical, electro-optic, and other test systems.
- Determine test points and parameters for new or re-designed products.
- Software development of High-Level programming that communicates with various devices for measurement, control, logging, calibration, and programming.
- Develop automation scenarios and scripts for testing code and infrastructure.
- Development and maintenance of Manufacturing Test Plans and Procedures.
- Monitor and perform maintenance of laboratory equipment and facilities to ensure measurements are accurate.
- Track quality assurance metrics to identify failure modes and capture faults.
- Monitor and adjust testing to ensure manufacturing failure rates found in the field are below company targets
- Involved in lifecycle product testing and communication with the manufacturer.
- Work closely with Technical Services to monitor any quality issues with all products.
- Qualify, validate and recommend part substitutions.
- On Site bring up and troubleshooting of new test fixtures at the manufacturer’s location.
Qualifications:
- EET/EE degree or equivalent work experience in electronics or related background, including familiarity with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, computer software design and hands on experience with data acquisition and measurement systems.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of both test engineering and development principles.
- Experience in working under quality management systems (e.g. ISO) and developing and following procedures.
- Experience with a programming language (LabView, VB, C#, Python) or similar specifically for the rapid development of test software.
- Experience working in an Agile engineering environment.
- Understanding of analog, digital and RF electronics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good organizational and effective time management skills.
- Must be able to travel internationally for extended periods of time.
- Must be US citizen or legally able to work in US
