Literacy Chippewa Valley’s Family-Literacy Program is seeking a part-time (Monday-Thursday) ELL Teacher. Compensation for each position reflects skills listed below. The salary range is $21-26/hour, based on experience.
The Instructor plans, implements and monitors the adult educational curriculum for assigned students and works cooperatively with other instructors to plan and implement special projects such as job skills training and parent education activities in the Family Literacy ELL Program.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
· Program Management
o Implements and manages the best possible standardized curriculum, content and teaching methodology.
o Develops appropriate curriculum and delivers instruction in individual or group setting.
o Assists with student intake including identifying goals, testing and selecting educational resources.
o Assists in recording student information.
o Works cooperatively with other instructors to assign, manage, and supervise tutors working in pairs, small groups, and classrooms.
- Assists in facilitating, managing, and supervising college tutor program.
- Working Culture
o Facilitates a constructive and positive working culture through communication and encouragement of organizational values.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
· Must be able to work independently and in teams, set priorities, follow through and meet deadlines.
· 2 years teaching experience, ideally with adult learners and English Language Learners.
· Computer literacy in word processing and database applications
· Spanish proficiency
