Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead the development, launch, and lifecycle management of our commercial and industrial lighting fixture portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lighting technologies, market trends, and customer needs. This role will involve cross-functional collaboration with engineering, sales, marketing, and operations teams to drive product innovation and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Market Analysis
- Define and execute the product roadmap for commercial and industrial lighting fixtures.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback evaluations to identify opportunities for new products and improvements.
- Monitor industry trends, energy regulations, and technology advancements to ensure product compliance and competitiveness.
Product Development & Lifecycle Management
- Lead product development initiatives from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals.
- Work closely with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to develop innovative, cost-effective, and high-quality lighting solutions.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle, including product updates, enhancements, and phase-outs.
Sales & Marketing Support
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop product positioning, messaging, and promotional materials.
- Provide product training, technical support, and sales enablement tools to internal teams and distribution partners.
- Work with key customers and specifiers to understand their needs and influence product development.
- Application Engineering support trouble shooting commissioning issues on smart IoT products.
Pricing & Profitability
- Establish pricing strategies based on market demand, competitive positioning, and cost structures.
- Monitor product performance, sales data, and profitability to make data-driven decisions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in product management, preferably in lighting, electrical, or industrial products.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with LED lighting technologies, industry standards (e.g., DLC, UL, ANSI), and energy efficiency requirements.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze market data, financial metrics, and competitive insights.
- Project Management: Proven track record of managing multiple projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Communication & Leadership: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings, trade shows, and supplier visits.
