Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead the development, launch, and lifecycle management of our commercial and industrial lighting fixture portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lighting technologies, market trends, and customer needs. This role will involve cross-functional collaboration with engineering, sales, marketing, and operations teams to drive product innovation and revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities


Product Strategy & Market Analysis

  • Define and execute the product roadmap for commercial and industrial lighting fixtures.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback evaluations to identify opportunities for new products and improvements.
  • Monitor industry trends, energy regulations, and technology advancements to ensure product compliance and competitiveness.


Product Development & Lifecycle Management

  • Lead product development initiatives from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals.
  • Work closely with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to develop innovative, cost-effective, and high-quality lighting solutions.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, including product updates, enhancements, and phase-outs.


Sales & Marketing Support

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop product positioning, messaging, and promotional materials.
  • Provide product training, technical support, and sales enablement tools to internal teams and distribution partners.
  • Work with key customers and specifiers to understand their needs and influence product development.
  • Application Engineering support trouble shooting commissioning issues on smart IoT products.


Pricing & Profitability

  • Establish pricing strategies based on market demand, competitive positioning, and cost structures.
  • Monitor product performance, sales data, and profitability to make data-driven decisions.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in product management, preferably in lighting, electrical, or industrial products.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with LED lighting technologies, industry standards (e.g., DLC, UL, ANSI), and energy efficiency requirements.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze market data, financial metrics, and competitive insights.
  • Project Management: Proven track record of managing multiple projects and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Communication & Leadership: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings, trade shows, and supplier visits.
