What are the responsibilities and job description for the Battery Assembler position at Lithion Battery Inc.?
Battery Assemblers will work as part of a team that is responsible for assembling an entire product or component of a product. Assemblers are responsible for performing some or all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and rotate through all or most of them rather than being assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis. Technicians are encouraged to provide input and feedback to engineers and/or cell leads to strive toward continuous improvement. All Assembly Technicians must be trained in house to a curriculum based on IPC-620 standards, welding, general assembler knowledge, and basic Cirris testing Non-Conforming SOP 8.3.

This is a Manufacturing Environment requiring some or all of the following:

- Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular production process.
- Assembly of cables, battery packs, or electro-mechanical assembly.
- Adhere to and maintain workmanship standards set forth by Aved.
- Participate in continuous training, including but not limited to cross training to all three divisions.
- Use lead free solder on PC boards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Ability to read and write English and comfortably speak English throughout the course of each work day.
- Ability to pay attention to the minute details in a work instruction; must be able to read and understand all work instructions written and explained in English.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools.
- Proficient knowledge of measuring devices including.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.
- Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
- Ability to comprehend basic technical topics.
- Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
This is a Manufacturing Environment requiring some or all of the following:
- Prolonged periods of sitting while performing assembly tasks at a workstation, as well as the ability to stand for prolonged periods during assembly line work.
- Repetitive tasks involving hand and wrist motions, such as assembling small parts, using tools and operating machinery.
- Fine motor skills for accurate and efficient assembly.
- Frequent reaching, grasping, pushing or pulling production materials.
- Capable of lifting and carrying battery components, tools or assembled units weighing up to 50lbs. May involve moving or positioning items within the manufacturing area.
- Standing, bending or kneeling to access equipment, perform on-site assessments, operate machinery, handle delicate components or performs tasks at various heights and angles.
- Working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. May involve exposure to battery chemicals or other materials used in the assembly process.
- Required to wear and properly use personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and lab coats as required by safety protocols.
