Preschool Assistant Teacher : FULL- TIME

Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the director and lead teacher to assist, oversee and engage with the students in your care.
- Work with the Early Learning Center team of teachers and contribute by giving oversight, ideas and creativity to the program.
- Assistant teachers for infant - prek program. Assistant teacher will be assigned a specific age group/class.
- Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom responsibilities and give oversite to 10 or less children.
- Assist with giving staff breaks, lunches and possibly working with one of our afterschool sites as needed.
- Assist in creating a strong sense of community among staff and children.
- Connect with children and families during drop off and pick up times.
- Assist with any cleaning or organization of the room set up or required by state regulations.
- Attend all required staff trainings and meetings.
- Hours: Monday - Friday: Full Time -
- Potential Hours: 8:15 - 4:45 pm
Requirements:
- High energy, engaging and team player
- Preferred (not required) CDA, AA Degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field or a related field.
- Must successfully pass all background checks including fingerprint and reference checks.
- Ability to interact with children and the school age team, give direction and vision when needed.
- Minimum of 2500 hours of Childcare experience or equivalent education courses completed.
- Ability to work in a classroom with a lead teacher sharing classroom responsibilities and planning.
- Engaging, upbeat and warm personality.
- Enjoys working with children.
- Excellent communication, team player qualities
