Description:
PacAero Agawam is seeking a motivated and results-driven Production Manager to oversee day-to-day manufacturing floor operations while supporting the General Manager with operational leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC machining and assembly, with knowledge of plating processes preferred. This role is critical in driving performance to meet monthly production targets, improving efficiency, and leading a team to achieve the company’s operational goals. You'll be responsible for managing production, leading teams, and overseeing KPIs, all while working closely with the General Manager.
Requirements:- Oversee manufacturing floor operations to meet and exceed monthly production targets, ensuring all schedules and deadlines are met on time.
- Provide day-to-day operational support to the General Manager, offering insights and recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and team performance.
- Work closely with the planning team to align production schedules with customer demand and ensure timely completion of orders.
- Monitor, analyze, and act on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost control across all production areas.
- Manage and motivate production teams, providing coaching and training to foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
- Lead initiatives for process improvement and introduce new systems or workflows to drive operational excellence.
- Ensure quality control standards are met in all machining and assembly processes, and resolve any quality issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with engineering, machining, quality, integration, and plating team managers to align production activities and ensure smooth operations across all areas.
- Oversee the management of materials, equipment, and inventory to ensure production runs smoothly without delays.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that the production area is compliant with industry regulations.
- Regularly report on production performance, challenges, and achievements to the General Manager, ensuring alignment with business objectives and company goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in production management, particularly in CNC machining and assembly operations.
- Strong knowledge of plating processes is preferred.
- Experience leading teams and meeting production targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to monitor and manage KPIs to drive performance improvements.
- Strong change management skills and experience driving process improvements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a focus on team development and coaching.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in resource management, inventory control, and production planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
- 5 years of experience in production management with a focus on machining and assembly.
