In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and achieving sales and profitability targets in the commercial vehicle market by utilizing direct (OEM) and Distribution sales channels.
About The Job - Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the sales strategy: Collaborate with the executive team, Product Management, and global Sales team to define sales objectives, strategies, and targets aligned with the company's overall goals and vision.
- Achieve sales targets: Lead the sales team in consistently meeting and surpassing revenue and profitability targets on both regional and global scales.
- Drive market expansion: Support in identifying and evaluating target markets and verticals for growth for the region.
- Build and manage the sales team: Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their individual and team goals.
- Ensure profitability: Develop and execute sales tactics to achieve and maintain profitability targets, ensuring pricing, considering full business implications and new business awards meet or exceed business gross margin targets.
- Customer relationship management: Foster strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. Drive detailed strategic account plans considering market and growth information and aligned with the business strategy.
- Sales forecasting and analysis: Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, monitor market trends, analyze sales data, and provide regular reports to senior management to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product management, marketing, operations, and finance teams to align sales strategies, product launches, pricing, and inventory management etc. to support business targets and profitability.
- Stay updated on industry trends: Continuously monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and stay ahead of market developments.
- Proven sales leadership: At least 8 years of experience in senior sales roles, including a minimum of 3 years in sales leadership positions.
- Manufacturing industry expertise: Strong background in the manufacturing industry, preferably in the production of fuses, switches, or other electronics for the commercial vehicle market.
- Distribution and OEM sales experience: Demonstrated success in selling through distribution channels and establishing partnerships with OEMs.
- Results-driven mindset: Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth and profitability.
- Leadership and team management: Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse sales team to deliver exceptional results.
