Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. The ECE Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging educational activities that foster learning through play. Curriculum/ activities appropriate for children from 6 months - 36 months old.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to support each child's development.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, including social skills, language development, and motor skills.
- Provide individualized support to children with special needs or disabilities as required.
- Encourage children's curiosity and creativity through hands-on activities and interactive learning experiences.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space that promotes exploration and discovery.
- Communicate regularly with the director and parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Requirements
- AA degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred for the Teacher position and min of 12 ECE units
- min. of 6 units and 1 year infant/toddler experience for Infant / toddler assistant.
- Experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Skills in toddler care, special education, or working with children with disabilities are highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create engaging educational experiences that promote learning through play.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children are critical for success in this role.
