Little Angels Preschool has been established as an outreach ministry to the community. It is our mission to provide a safe and loving environment in which learning can be fun through play, exploration, and hands on experiences. Our goal is to encourage children to build on their individual knowledge and skills and to nurture their Christian values and spirituality. Our curriculum helps build social, physical, intellectual, and spiritual skills.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of Christian faith. Education required to meet state licensing requirements for teacher in children day care facility. CPR and First Aid certification. The position is a part-time position. Our preschool follows the Okaloosa County School Calendar. Our operating schedule is from approximately August through May.

Teacher Job Description:
The Preschool Assistant performs a variety of duties with the goal of providing the children with love, support, education, and spiritual teachings within a safe loving environment during the absence of the regular teacher. A Preschool Assistant will assist in classrooms and help with pick up and drop off procedures.
Essential Functions:
Establish and maintain a classroom environment that utilizes space, materials, routines, and guidance to facilitate spiritual, physical, social/emotional, and intellectual development within the guidelines and philosophy of Little Angles Preschool. Instill Christian values through prayer, songs, stories, art, conversation, and discussion. Maintain the health, safety, and welfare of the children by providing a clean and healthy environment, constant supervision, and positive interaction both verbally and physically throughout the day. Attend all required staff meetings and training. Share information with other staff members as needed for the successful operation of the program. Maintain confidentiality regarding church, staff, children, and family information. Meet and maintain all licensing requirements/qualifications and comply with Little Angels Preschool policies and procedures at all times. This includes meeting all training requirements by the state and the preschool. Maintain an awareness of child abuse, neglect, child welfare, and all licensing regulations and reporting procedures required by law. It is mandated by law that any concern of abuse or neglect be reported immediately. Maintain an organized classroom. Establish objectives, evaluate objectives and report progress. Work cooperatively with staff, parents, members, and volunteers. Display high standards in attitude, outlook, and morals with awareness of the importance of leading by example. Use effective written communication skills. Verbally communicate in clear and understandable manner.
REQUIRED:
Level 2 Background DCF screening
Physical Requirements:
Sit on the floor or in child sized furniture. Reach with arms and lift up to 35lbs regularly throughout the day. Walk, stand, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, run, and be physically active at a child’s level. Willingness to be exposed to weather conditions that are prevalent during outside time with your class.
