Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support various dental specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics.
- Utilize Dentrix Ascend software for patient management and record-keeping.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Monitor vital signs and assist in the management of patient comfort during procedures.
- Maintain aseptic technique to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a friendly atmosphere for young patients.
- Perform sterilization of instruments and maintain cleanliness of the dental operatory.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry practices is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix ascend or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
- Ability to take vital signs and understand basic medical assessments.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient interaction and education.
- A positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are crucial.
