We are currently hiring for one full time position:

**APPLICANTS MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH CHILDREN OR WORKING WITHIN AN EDUCATIONAL SETTING**

• Teacher's Aide, Toddler Room : Hours (approx.) M-F, 830-530

Job description: Teacher's Aides are responsible for all aspects of care, education and developmental assistance of each child in the classroom. These classrooms call for energetic, nurturing, understanding personalities who are flexible and able to meet the many needs of our students. All Aides are paired with an existing, experienced lead teacher.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate and support lead teacher in individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, photos and daily updates via Little Bird's Brightwheel account/application
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children
• Engage in daily room cleaning practices
• Maintain accurate records, forms and files
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience
• High energy, reliable, timely
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
• Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
• A strong understanding of child development
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification
• Must clear full background check, must pass health screening and provide proof of education and relevant experience

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 35 pounds
• Must be able to comfortably sit on the floor and engage in activities with the children

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
