Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. This role involves educating and caring for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and developmental growth. The Child Care Teacher will work closely with parents and staff to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
- Manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all children.
- Provide individualized attention to each child, catering to their unique needs and abilities.
- Foster social skills through group activities and playtime.
- Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate records of their development.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive teaching approach.
- Support children with disabilities by adapting lessons to meet their specific needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience in toddler care, infant care, or daycare settings is highly desirable.
- Proficient in classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Ability to educate children effectively while fostering their emotional well-being.
- Experience working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred or must be obtained upon hiring.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff.
