Summary

Little Blessings Preschool is looking for a fun, energetic teacher to join our team! We believe children learn best through play and encourage play in our day-to-day activity planning.

This position is Monday through Friday in our Pre K 4 room three days a week from 8 : 30-2 : 30 and Pre-K 3 room two days a week 8 : 30am-12 : 30pm! The lead teacher is the leader of the teaching team who shares responsibility with he assistant teacher of the the care and education of an assigned group of children. The lead teacher is responsible for planning learning experiences, implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, supervising children, communication with parents and providing a healthy and safe learning environment for the children.

Duties

  • Monitoring the students overall learning through and creating an environment to help

them reach their maximum potential and gain self-confidence by modeling and fun.

  • Working in partnership with the Head Teacher to implement the annual curriculum while

    • leading indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.

  • Providing guidance around developmentally appropriate practices, age-appropriate

    • milestones, and willingness to be an integral part of a child’s healthy growth and

    development.

  • Assisting with coordinating special events to help build the school community such as :

    • holiday celebrations, end of year programs, open houses, fundraisers, etc.

  • Attending monthly Staff Meetings

    • Requirements

  • Associates degree or higher in early childhood education or elementary education or related field of study or 12 or more credits in Early Childhood Education.
  • At least one year of successful, related teaching experience
  • Possess or willing to obtain required trainings, including but not limited to : First Aid Certification, CPR, medication administration.
