Your Mission :
You will provide network administration and support for multiple location LAN and WAN environments and maintain a high availability network. This role assists or installs moderately complex computer networking and telecommunication systems. You offer service to LCE and, as requested help other Ilitch companies. You will also work under general supervision and recommend solutions to problems.
How You'll Make an Impact :
- Responsible to deliver moderately complex support, maintenance and evaluation of computer networking and telecommunication systems; installs, configures, and maintains both physical and virtual servers under general direction. Assist with support for some of the most critical systems of the organization including but not limited to VoIP phone system, VMWare, SANS, Anti-Virus, Patch management, Mobile Device Management, Digital merchandizing, and thin-client environment.
- Assist in managing all network equipment and servers including moderately complex server installation, configuration and maintenance.
- Install and maintain network hardware and software.
- Support and maintain of voice and data VLANS, MPLS circuits, POTS lines and VPNs.
- Analyze and troubleshoot logs including but not limited to network logs, server aggregated logs, vulnerability scans, patch management lots, back up logs and tracks the nature and resolution of problems.
- Develop and maintain network security procedures. Add, remove, and change authorities from network users.
- Assist in coordinating special projects including network related wiring plans, LAN / WAN hardware / software purchases and installation.
- Maintain familiarity with currently implemented and new technology, including new versions of software, implementation upgrades and changes to procedures / policies.
- Provide clear communication and documentation of events, processes, procedures and configuration details.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and increase job knowledge through educational opportunities, reading professional journals, maintaining personal and professional networks and participating in professional organizations.
- Communicate and monitor compliance with existing practices.
- Keep higher level positions or management apprised of any adverse situations.
