*Job Summary*
Little Coterie Shop is seeking a motivated and organized Sales Associate to join our team. This is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers while maintaining the store's cleanliness and organization. This would be a 1099 Contract Position.
*Duties*
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Assist in supervising store operations during shifts, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at checkout
- Maintain a clean and tidy shop, ensuring products are well-organized and displayed
- Participating in shop opening/closing procedures
- Receive and open incoming shipments, check inventory, and price new items
- Assist in organizing the warehouse, keeping it neat and functional
- Track inventory levels, alerting management of low stock or discrepancies
- Break down and dispose of packaging materials such as boxes
- Maintain knowledge of products and services to assist customers effectively.
- Provide feedback to management on customer preferences and sales trends.
- Gift wrap purchases for customers as needed
- Assist with marketing efforts, such as sending newsletters or promotional emails via Mailchimp
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about products and services.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and enhance the overall shopping experience.
- Participate in additional projects and tasks as assigned by management
*Qualifications*
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is required.
- Comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting boxes and standing for extended periods
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Proficiency in operating a POS system.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Experience in stock management and merchandising is a plus.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
