Job Title: Childcare Center Director
Location: Little Darlings Childcare Learning Center 6120 Baltimore National Pike Catonsville, MD 21228
Employment Type: Full-Time/12 months
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and highly qualified Childcare Center Director to lead and manage the daily operations of our childcare center. This individual must have a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate the ability to lead staff and support families while maintaining a nurturing, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment for all children in our care.
Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- 90-Hour Infant and Toddler Certification, including:
- 45 hours in Child Growth and Development
- 45 hours in Infant and Toddler Curriculum
- Valid certifications to cover all age groups served at the center
- Willing and able to step in and assist in any classroom or area as needed
Certifications and Compliance:
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification
- Current Medical Clearance
- ADA Compliance Knowledge
- Must pass Fingerprinting and Background Check
- Familiarity with Maryland EXCELS standards and procedures
Skills and Expectations:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to oversee daily operations and manage staff in a positive, professional, and productive manner
- Promptness and professionalism are essential
- Must be proactive and willing to address and resolve issues or crises effectively
- Excellent communication skills with children, staff, parents, and guardians
- High level of confidentiality required in all matters including:
- Children's welfare
- Staff issues
- Business operations
- Financials and inspections
- A solid understanding of child development and child/staff safety practices

- Will be required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement upon hire
