Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Director to lead our child care program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to early childhood education, and the ability to effectively communicate with staff, parents, and the community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement educational programs that meet the developmental needs of children.
- Supervise and support staff in their roles, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements.
- Foster positive relationships with families, addressing concerns and promoting engagement in their child's education.
- Manage daily operations including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with local schools and community organizations to enhance program offerings.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, staff, and visitors.
Experience
- A degree from a recognized university in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience working with students in an educational setting, particularly in early childhood development for a minimum of (2) years is required.
- Background in education administration is highly desirable.
- Experience in higher education teaching or training is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse groups including children, parents, and staff.
