Part Time and Fulltime Childcare Teachers

Seeking part-time and fulltime teachers with early childhood or childcare center experience for toddlers through Pre-K! Babysitting experience is not accepted as childcare center experience. Hours vary with a flexible schedule. Little Discoveries is open Monday through Friday 7:00am-6:00pm.

Job Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Child Care Teachers to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their growth and development through engaging activities. This role requires a commitment to child welfare and the ability to manage diverse classroom dynamics effectively.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy education, social skills, and emotional development.
• Provide individualized attention to children, ensuring their needs are met in a supportive environment.
• Utilize behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
• Engage in toddler care practices that support the physical and emotional well-being of young children.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and address any concerns regarding their development.
• Conduct assessments related to standardized testing and monitor students’ progress regularly.
• Foster an inclusive environment for all children, including those with special education needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom conducive to learning.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational or care setting is essential.
• Knowledge of child welfare principles and practices is preferred.
• Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support diverse learning needs.
• Experience in tutoring or providing additional support for students is a plus.
• Strong understanding of literacy education techniques for early childhood development.
• Ability to create engaging classroom activities that cater to various learning styles.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
• A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
