Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educators in creating a nurturing and effective learning environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and infants. This role is essential in assisting with curriculum development and providing individualized support to students, ensuring they thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging student participation and engagement.
- Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, orderly space for learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
- Provide care for toddlers in daycare settings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in literacy education and special education techniques.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in educational or daycare settings is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a classroom team while also being able to take initiative when needed.
Our floater would be spending time in each one of our three rooms. You would be taking kids outside, helping feed infants, sitting in rooms during naps, refilling chemicals, dumping trash, etc. You would be the Jack of all trade and will need to be flexible!
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No nights
- No weekends
