FULL-TIME SUPERVISOR OF PUBLIC WORKS –
LITTLE EGG HARBOR, OCEAN COUNTY
Under direction of the superintendent of Public Works, applicant supervises employees engaged in construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of multiple public works facilities such as street, sanitation, parks, or other public works operations; may be required to operate, check, service, and make minor repairs to trucks and other maintenance and construction equipment; ability to organize assigned work and develop effective work methods and maintain records; does other related duties as required.
Knowledge of procedures, materials, and tools used in cleaning, maintaining, and repairing streets and sanitation facilities. Ability to direct employees, provide them with advice/assistance when difficult problems arise, and check their work to ensure that proper procedures are followed. Ability to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the township.
Requirements:
· Must have 4 years of experience in construction, maintenance, and/or repair of streets, sanitation, recycling, snow plow or other public work facilities or similar heavy construction
· Possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey
· Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and applicable endorsements for the class and type of vehicle being operated.
