Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities that promote childhood development.
- Support behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
- Engage with children in various activities, including math, art, and play, to enhance their learning experience.
- Help maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, ensuring all materials are organized and accessible.
- Observe and document children's progress, providing feedback to the lead teacher regarding individual needs.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to discuss children's development and address any concerns.
- Assist in managing children with special needs or disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum, ensuring they receive appropriate support.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood education.
Qualifications
- A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working in daycare settings or with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective lesson planning techniques.
- Strong skills in behavior management to effectively engage children in learning activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff.
