Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will work closely with children aged 2 to 5 years, implementing engaging educational activities that promote learning through play. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of childhood development and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, promoting social skills and emotional well-being.
- Maintain effective classroom management to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive educational experience.
- Provide care for infants when necessary, ensuring their safety and comfort during daycare hours.
- Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education, including first aid procedures and working with children with disabilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education settings
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred, must be willing to get before employment.
- Ability to create engaging educational activities tailored to various learning styles.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Must be able to pass a background check
- 12 ECE Core Units 3 of which need to be in Infant Development
