Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. As the primary customer contact, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service, ensuring accurate sales transactions, maintaining a clean and safe store environment, and performing various duties to support the store's operations.
Main Responsibilities
Customer Service
• Present a well-groomed, professional image at all times.
• Greet and welcome all customers with a smile, promoting a positive attitude and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assist customers in locating products and provide recommendations on related items, enhancing their shopping experience.
• Record accurate sales transactions, process payments, and provide correct change as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of approved payment systems and transaction processes to ensure efficient and secure transactions.
Store Operations
• Understand and strictly follow state laws regarding lottery, alcohol, and tobacco sales, adhering to regulations and company policies.
• Promote enrollment and participation in loyalty programs, such as Plenti and BP, to enhance customer engagement and rewards.
• Monitor gas pumps to prevent drive-off theft and report any occurrences to the Manager on duty.
• Report any malfunctioning equipment or systems to the Manager on duty, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing disruptions.
• Stock coolers and shelves to ensure products are available and properly priced, maintaining an organized and visually appealing store environment.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in food service areas to meet local health standards, adhering to health and safety protocols.
• Actively participate in cleaning and maintaining a safe store, contributing to a healthy and productive work environment.
Additional Responsibilities
• Adhere to Locked Door policy if applicable.
• Understand and execute all security and emergency protocols, prioritizing customer and employee safety.
• Report any customer accidents or injuries to the Manager on duty, providing assistance and support as needed.
• Understand and adhere to all Little General corporate and handbook policies, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Report any problems to the Manager on Duty, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing disruptions.
• Complete Daily Shift Report at the end of each shift, providing a detailed account of activities and challenges faced.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and needs.
