What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deli Manager position at Little Giant Farmers Market?
he Deli Manager is responsible for all operations within the Deli in the store. Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing operation of the steam table, smoker, rotisserie, sandwich bar, sliced meats, custom orders, sandwiches, salads, sushi, etc.
- Ordering 3 times per week all items for the department
- Schedule and manage staff to ensure customers are taken care of at all times
- Hire/Train new staff
- Participate in ServeSafe training
- Enforce strict sanitation guidelines
- Report directly to the Store Manager
- Ownership of a monthly P&L with gross profit and sales goals
- Meeting weekly labor budgets
- Provide customer service
- Sample products
- Adhere to minimum variety guidelines
Little Giant Farmer’s Market was founded in Riverdale, GA, in 1984 with a focus on fresh produce. The store expanded into a full-service supermarket and has been growing ever since. Little Giant is in the process of being updated with a rebrand, store remodels, new products, and a new pricing structure—to name a few.
